CHOC-CHIA PROTEIN BALLS

Super tasty, little protein balls which are perfect for kids lunch boxes or a nutritious mid-workout boost. Makes about 12-15 balls.

Super tasty, little protein balls which are perfect for kids lunch boxes or a nutritious mid-workout boost. Makes about 12-15 balls.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup of quick oats

  • 1 cup of natural peanut butter (I usually use 3/4 natural 100% peanut butter and then 1/4 commercial peanut butter, but go for whatever floats your boat!)

  • pinch of sea salt flakes

  • 2 teaspoons natural vanilla extract

  • 1/4 cup of chia seeds

  • 3 tablespoons of honey (go for a locally made honey with a bit of a floral vibe)

  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil

  • 2 tablespoons cocoa powder (go for Cadbury!)

  • 1/3 cup of chocolate chips (go for the Cadbury bake ones and use dark chocolate if you prefer)

Method

  1. Blitz all of the ingredients in a food processor until well blended, then transfer to a bowl and use a wooden spoon to make sure the ingredients are well combined.

  2. Roll balls into beaut little bite size pieces and then pop into the fridge to chill and set. Enjoy!
